RSA Global Logistics and Fulfillment facility reaches Net Zero Carbon Emissions

RSA Global, a digital freight forwarding and supply chain solutions company headquartered in the UAE has achieved a sustainability milestone of converting one of their warehouses to a Net Zero Carbon Emissions facility. This achievement has been made possible due to the implementation of a holistic energy management approach over the past 3 years.
The goal to going carbon-neutral was driven by the strong sustainability objectives of RSA Global and finding like-minded partners such as Taka Solutions. Together, the teams created solutions that encompasses the retrofitting of solar rooftop and car park panels across RSA Global’s facilities as the main source of clean, renewable energy which now sources 99% of the energy utilized onsite. The scope also includes setting up efficiency measures for temperature, lighting, and chilled water network optimization. Today, the project has been able to completely remove the energy dependency of the facility from the grid resulting in electrical savings of 576,963 kWh per year, equivalent to 409 metric tons of CO2 emissions from 49,737,679 smartphones charged.

“It is encouraging to see that the topic of sustainability is being talked about even more now in the supply chain sector. This milestone makes us excited to keep pursuing our sustainability initiatives as part of our core values as a company. We see this as extending an advantage to our trusting customers and the consumers, at large, as we all become more conscious of our environmental impact.” says Abhishek Shah, CEO & Co-Founder of RSA Global.

“This is just the start of a greener journey for our operations,” Maji Monday, HSSEQ Director of RSA Global, says. “Neutralizing carbon emissions is more than just clean energy generation, there are many factors, measures, and innovations that go into the process, and we are ever ready to explore those avenues and keep going towards a more sustainable supply chain future.”
