(NYSE: COLD) (“Americold” or the “Company”), the world’s largest publicly traded REIT focused on the ownership, operation, acquisition, and development of temperature-controlled warehouses, announced today a strategic investment into RSA Cold Chain in Dubai. At close, Americold’s investment is $3.9 million for the Company’s share (49%) of RSA Cold Chain equity.

RSA Global, a digital supply chain and ecommerce logistics company, has collaborated with Careem Quik to enhance the UAE's rapid grocery delivery service. This newly announced partnership links Careem Quik’s dark store network across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain together through a centralised distribution centre, RSA Global said in a blog post. Careem Quik uses a network of dark stores to enable a faster grocery delivery experience. The company launched this service during the COVID-19 pandemic in response to an increased demand for rapid grocery delivery.

This development marks a milestone in the company's journey towards enhancing its capacity and service offerings to meet the escalating demands of the market in the region.
